All ten service categories in Nashville have unverified eligibility. Ask about your vehicle, pickup and requested task before depending on an arrangement. An inquiry does not confirm that assistance is assigned or that a provider can enter the site. For an emergency or immediate danger, contact emergency services first.
Choose the right Nashville contact for the situation
Nashville Police's Vehicle Impound Section concerns vehicles held under police authority. The city's page links to its lot operator for locating a vehicle and lists the impound number, 615-862-7800. Have the plate or VIN available for an inquiry. Use these resources for an existing impound; they are not a request for a new breakdown tow or proof that every private-property tow is included. Official information: https://www.nashville.gov/departments/police/support-services/facilities-management/vehicle-impound
TDOT says its HELP highway patrol has no direct service number. Within HELP patrol areas, its Nashville routing contact is the local law-enforcement non-emergency number, 615-862-8600, for roadway assistance or incident reports. Establish the exact road and location: the number is not a direct HELP dispatch line or confirmation that a patrol will attend. Official information: https://www.tn.gov/tdot/traffic-operations-division/how-do-i-contact-help-program-operators-.html
Keep those two needs separate when calling: locating a vehicle already held and requesting help for one still on the road. Rezcues is not presented as the city impound operator or as part of TDOT's program. If authorities have already given instructions, relay them before discussing any further transport.
Ten service categories to discuss
Light-duty towing
For a car or similar vehicle, state the year, make, model and condition. Explain whether it can roll, steer or start, and mention damage, lost keys or an affected wheel. Provide the pickup and intended destination as separate addresses. Ask whether a light-duty request can be considered, including any restrictions imposed by the property or facility holding the vehicle.
Battery jump starts
A no-start condition can have more than one cause. Describe the dashboard response, warning messages and any previous attempt to start the vehicle. Identify whether it is conventional, hybrid or electric. Ask whether a battery-related assessment is appropriate for the location. This category does not promise a restart, a replacement battery or work on a high-voltage system.
Flat tire assistance
Say which tire is affected and whether the vehicle has a usable spare. Mention more than one damaged tire, visible wheel damage or a missing wheel-lock key. Ask whether the situation can be considered for on-site assistance or whether transport should be discussed. The task and location must be reviewed before an approach is chosen; no tire-changing directions are provided here.
Vehicle lockouts
Explain whether the key is locked inside, has been lost or is not being recognized. Give the vehicle details and be prepared to confirm your authority to request access. A vehicle access inquiry does not establish replacement-key or programming capability. If the vehicle is held by a facility, ask that facility about access before treating the situation as an ordinary parking-lot lockout.
Emergency fuel
Identify the required fuel type and describe what happened before the vehicle stopped. Let the call handler know about suspected wrong fuel or a leak. Ask whether a fuel request is eligible at the actual location rather than assuming a highway program or a city page establishes availability. No fuel quantity, delivery commitment or ability to restart is confirmed here.
Motorcycle towing
Give the motorcycle's model and size, and mention sidecars, luggage or modifications that affect its configuration. Explain whether it rolls and whether any damage is visible. Include the entrance or access contact for the pickup and receiving site. Ask for a motorcycle-specific transport assessment; a car-towing inquiry does not establish the handling arrangement for a motorcycle.
Winch-out
Describe the vehicle's position and the surrounding surface without attempting a recovery. Explain whether access crosses private property or whether the vehicle is obstructed or damaged. A winch-out requires assessment of the actual conditions and the right to enter the site. This page does not establish recovery capability for a ditch, slope, heavy load or blocked access route.
EV towing
State the EV model and distinguish low charge from a warning message, damage or another fault. Mention any attached charging connector or difficulty placing the vehicle into its usual transport state. The provider must review model-specific requirements. This category concerns a transport inquiry and does not establish mobile charging, battery repairs or unrestricted access to charging locations.
Medium-duty towing
For a work truck or larger van, provide its class, dimensions and loaded condition if known. Describe mounted equipment, a trailer and any entrance constraints. Ask whether a medium-duty request can be assessed separately from a light-duty tow. If the vehicle is in official custody, confirm the facility and collection arrangements before discussing the onward move.
Motor Clubs, Insurance & Fleets
Have the case reference and the contact who can authorize the task. Tell the call handler if a club, insurer or fleet has already arranged assistance, so the inquiry can be understood in context. Confirm approval and payment arrangements with that organization. No reimbursement right, direct billing, dispatch-network membership or Rezcues agreement is established by this category.
Information that helps a request review
For a garage or private lot, provide the vehicle entrance, level, posted clearance and property contact. If a repair shop or storage site is the proposed destination, say whether it has agreed to receive the vehicle. Report the current pickup location if it changes after your first inquiry. A city name, parking receipt or preferred destination alone is not a complete pickup description.
