Call to check current availability. Jacksonville service eligibility is unverified for all ten categories below. Availability must be checked for your exact location. Suitable equipment, permitted access and a provider accepting the work must be confirmed. For immediate danger, a fire or a medical emergency, call 911.
Choose the contact for the situation you have now
For roadway assistance, the Florida Department of Transportation's Road Rangers page directs motorists to call *347 from a mobile phone. The page also links to coverage information. Give the exact road, direction and position so the responsible responder can assess the situation. If a Road Ranger or law enforcement has already assisted or moved the vehicle, tell any prospective provider what happened and confirm the new pickup point.

For questions about a vehicle already in storage or recovery, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office directory lists its Vehicle Storage and Recovery unit at 904-630-2173. Explain the circumstances and ask which authority or holding facility should handle the inquiry. This directory contact is not proof that a particular vehicle is in JSO custody or that one office records every private tow. Establish the actual holding location before requesting new transport.

These public contacts have their own roles. A Rezcues inquiry does not establish Road Ranger participation, authorization to enter a managed road or the ability to release a stored vehicle.
Describe the pickup and access
- The street address and nearest intersection, or the road, direction and nearest exit you know
- Whether the vehicle is in a travel lane, shoulder, ramp, parking area or storage facility
- Any authority, site manager or other responder already involved
- Garage entrance, level, posted clearance or gate contact where applicable
- Year, make, model, drivetrain, visible warnings and any damage
- Whether the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes and whether keys are available
- A callback number, preferred destination and approving contact
Use information you can provide safely. You can begin the inquiry without entering traffic or approaching damaged equipment to gather details.
Ten service categories to ask about
Light-duty towing
Describe the car's condition and preferred destination. Mention an electric drivetrain, all-wheel drive, low clearance or damage so a suitable transport method can be checked. Confirm pickup permission and the destination's receiving arrangements. A vehicle moved by a responder needs its current pickup point recorded before a further tow is considered.
Battery jump starts
Explain the no-start symptoms and any warnings already visible. Say whether the vehicle is gasoline, diesel, hybrid or electric. Ask whether a jump-start assessment is appropriate and what would happen if it remains disabled. A successful start does not establish that the battery or charging system is fully functioning.
Flat tire assistance
Identify the affected tire and whether a usable spare and wheel-lock key are available. Ask whether the location and vehicle are suitable for a spare change. Repair, replacement stock and mobile fitting require separate confirmation. If a change is unsuitable, discuss transport to a receiving destination.
Vehicle lockouts
Say whether the key is inside, missing or not recognized by the vehicle. Entry assistance differs from replacing or programming a key. Ask about compatibility and the ownership or permission evidence required. If a person is trapped and in danger, call 911 first.
Emergency fuel
Provide the correct fuel type if known and explain what happened before the vehicle stopped. Ask whether delivery is appropriate for that location and what would follow if it does not restart. Report incorrect fueling, leakage or other damage. Fuel delivery does not establish an EV charging option.
Motorcycle towing
Give the make, model and condition, including rolling ability and steering lock. Mention a trike, sidecar or modifications. Check suitable loading and securing equipment, pickup access and the receiving destination. Transport for the rider and storage need separate arrangements.
Winch-out
Describe the stuck vehicle's position, surface, slope, visible damage and access route. Report water or other hazards from a safe position. A provider must assess the recovery and equipment before accepting work. Ask whether a later tow is included. This page does not establish water-recovery capability or give pulling instructions.
EV towing
State the exact model, displayed warnings and remaining charge if known. Ask for transport consistent with the manufacturer's instructions. A charging-site destination needs its own suitability and access check. Mobile charging and high-voltage repair are unverified. Report collision damage, flooding, smoke or unusual heat promptly.
Medium-duty towing
For a larger van or work vehicle, provide known dimensions, specifications and load details. Mention trailers, modifications and damage affecting movement. Equipment capacity, cargo restrictions and pickup access must be confirmed. Identify who can approve the work and where the vehicle will be received.
Motor Clubs, Insurance & Fleets
Explain the benefit program or organization involved and its approval process. Check whether help has already been arranged before making a separate commitment. Reimbursement, direct billing, purchase-order handling, fleet agreements and integrations require separate confirmation. Share only the information needed for the immediate inquiry.
Questions before agreeing to assistance
What if I am looking for a vehicle that was already removed?
Start by establishing its current location and the responsible authority or facility. A new towing request requires a confirmed pickup and any collection requirements.
What if another responder moves the vehicle while I am making calls?
Update the location and explain the assistance already received. Coordinate the new pickup with the responsible responder before another service is accepted.
Can help enter a garage or gated site?
Provide the entrance, clearance and authorized site contact. Property permission and suitable equipment need confirmation for that location.
What should I confirm on the phone?
Ask whether a suitable provider has accepted the work, what the total quote includes, the destination and how additional work would be approved. Any arrival estimate should apply to the actual accepted request.
